Lunow-Stolzenhagen (near Berlin), September 8 – 12, 2019

“By allowing your life into your meditation sittings, your meditation practice can change your life.”

This is something Jason Siff has said on many occasions, but what does he mean by it?

“Meditation is not an escape from the tensions and conflicts of our lives, but a way to be with them, to learn from them, and to change how we react.”

In the practice of Recollective Awareness Meditation, which Jason Siff created nearly three decades ago, people meditate with greater kindness and gentleness, developing tolerance and acceptance of difficult emotions and thoughts, eventually becoming interested in exploring their inner experience to discover the causes and conditions of their distress. A key feature of this meditation practice is the recollection of what occurs during meditation by writing down your experiences in meditation and perhaps sharing them with the teacher.

This retreat is suitable for newcomers to meditation as well as people with a lot of experience. The meditation sittings will range from 20 minutes to 45 minutes and you can always lie down or change your posture. Jason will give talks on meditation practice and theory, referencing his books, and will arrange individual interviews for students who would like to speak with him privately.

The retreat language is English with German translation.

Retreat Fee

The retreat fee is divided in two parts:

Organization Expenses
230 Euro
This amount is to be paid upon registration to Arbor Seminare.

On the other side, due to the fact that it is a traditional Vipassana-Retreat, it runs on a Dana base – that means, at the end of the reatreat you give the teacher whatever you can or as much as you believe adequate.

According to this Buddhist tradition the teachings cannot be measured by material values and are therefore given entirely free of cost, the teachers demanding no fee whatsoever. To cover the cost of their livelihood and to ensure the continuation of their teaching activities, the teachers entirely depend on voluntary donations by the course participants at the end of retreats.

If you have questions concerning the retreat fee, please contact us.
