This meditation workshop will introduce you to a practice known as "Recollective Awareness Meditation", which was created by Jason Siff nearly 30 years ago. Based on his books, "Unlearning Meditation" and "Thoughts Are Not the Enemy", Jason Siff will offer introductory meditation instructions for beginning meditators and guidance for those who have an established meditation practice. Recollective Awareness Meditation allows thoughts and emotions into the meditation sitting, and teaches how to relate to your experiences with gentleness, permission, and interest. It is a proven method for developing awareness of the full range of inner experience, while also calming and settling the mind.
The meditation sittings will be 20 to 30 minutes long, with breaks after each meditation for journaling. Please bring a notebook or something you use for writing.
