The European Union is funding this project to bring MCP – Mindful Compassionate Parenting
from D-A-CH to other European countries.
We will offer orientation seminars leading through the MCP-program in English language and due to the funding the participation fees will be very reasonable:
Parenting is one of the most beautiful engagements life can offer to us – and at times can be experienced as stressful and tiring. For many parents the pandemic has added challenges on top of the everyday demands. Mindful Compassionate Parenting aims at supporting parents to deal better with stress and strengthen their capacities for self-care and compassion.
Mindful Compassion Parenting is a course program for parents developed by the German child- and adolescent psychiatrist Jörg Mangold. His 30 years of experience as a psychiatrist and family therapist together with the competence from being mindfulness-teacher in several formats like MBSR/MBCT/MSC/MBCL led to this empowering program for parents. Many hundreds of parents in Germany, Austria and Switzerland have benefitted from the program over the last years. The efficacy is examined right now in a large study by the universities of Heidelberg and Kassel.
This European project aims to reach out to more parents in Europe with “Mindful Compassionate Parenting” (MCP). It wants to do this by establishing the foundations for an European network of professionals working with MCP. The partners involved are going to develop training pathways for these professionals and accompanying resources to support their learning and development process.
